Wart-Off Treatment

Flat warts are common raised growths found on the face, neck, and areas of the body prone to friction in adults. They are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). There are over 130 different types of HPV, and the most common types associated with flat warts are 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 10, which are considered low-risk and different from the sexually transmitted genital warts. Flat warts are also unrelated to cervical cancer and do not pose a risk of malignancy.

Traditional laser techniques can only fragment melanin without completely eliminating it, and they may even leave depressed scars. Carbon dioxide (CO2) laser treatment offers better precision and control over laser energy and pulse duration. It effectively removes warts, moles, and skin tags more efficiently than traditional methods like electrocautery. This treatment accurately vaporizes excess uneven skin tissue layer by layer, resulting in a smoother outcome without damage to the surrounding skin. In rare cases, slight marks or scars may occur.

The process of wart removal is considered a medical procedure, and it is advisable to consult with your insurance broker for detailed coverage information.

HPV Vaccine

GARDASIL 9 9-in-1 HPV Vaccine (HPV6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, 58)

PhiDerma provides HPV vaccination that prevents approximately 80-90% of cancers and diseases associated with the infection of 9 types of HPV viruses. These include cervical cancer, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer, anal cancer, head and neck cancers, throat masses, and genital warts. The 9-in-1 HPV vaccine, Gardasil 9, is suitable for females and males aged nine years and older. Ideally, the vaccine should be administered before the onset of sexual activity, but it is also recommended for individuals who are already sexually active or have given birth.

The Gardasil or Gardasil 9 vaccine is administered in three doses within a six-month period. The second dose is given two months after the first dose, and the third dose is administered four months after the second dose.
